When you know your child is not ready to potty train!

Last night was very eventfull... Jackson agreed to take McKinley up for a bath together to give me time to clean the kitchen from dinner and do the dishwasher with little interuption. Lately McKinley has not wanted to take a bath and scared that it is too hot so Jackson was going to take one together to get her back in bath mode. After a little while I go upstairs to help with jammies to see a puddle on the carpet in our bedroom. Jackson said he was getting the "big bath" ready for them, and ran to McKinley's bathroom for bath toys, and when he returned saw McKinley standing over the puddle as she says "Daddy I spilled" meaning a pee pee accident. Next, as they play their new shark bath game (Jaws sounds too), she points to her bottom and says "poopie" and next thing you know a floater is heading it's way to Jackson still in the tub. He freaks out and jumps out to get in the shower as I pick her up to put her on the potty in case she is not finished. I slip and fall on my big butt, since it is now very cusiony it did not hurt, and drop McKinley to her feet and she cries from being scared (it was not a long fall) and I put her on the potty and say "mommy is okay" and about that time the doorbell rang and I heard a voice from downstairs. I am standing in my undies about the get on PJ's and McKinley is naked on the potty, daddy naked in the shower. I get McKinley off the potty and throw her a towel and go to the top of the stairs and say "Who is it?" and I hear Dan, Jackson's friend, coming over to pick up some camping equipment. Great timing. I said "Jackson is coming, hold on" and yell for Jackson to hurry up. McKinley then starts to scream "Cold mommy, wet mommy" and I bundle her up and laugh about the last 5 mintues and tell Jackson to get the poopie out of the tub asap before he gets dressed to go downstairs. It is now my job to scrub the tub... not sure if the carpet puddle was every cleaned up?

So we are not pursuing potty training at this time.

That made me laugh so hard! I'm glad I'm not the only one who had "potty issues"!
