I followed a friend's idea and made a basket full of all of our Christmas books to put next to the fireplace to read each night. We try to alternate them all, but McKinley's fav by far is the Grinch. Next in line is Charlie Brown and the Manger book with baby Jesus. Tonight we read the smells of Christmas, which was Jackson's favorite when he was little. She loves to scratch and sniff each page with all the smells: gingerbread, pine, apple pie, candy cane, and hot cocoa. I have to admit I like the book too, scratch n sniff is so much fun!
