Nursery: getting started!

We spent this weekend working on the nursery (well really Jackson did all the painting and I told him where the furniture should go) and I am getting excited! I can feel that I am already nesting, as if I was not before because I am a organization freak! On Sat, we switched the guest rooms around b/c I wanted the nursery across from McKinley and next to the bathroom, and it is smaller too. We painted the white furniture we had in 1 guest room black to use for the nursery and painted the walls tan in the new guest room to go with the decor (it was green before and did not go with redish bedding.)

SO I tooks pics of our progress! We still have walls to paint this weekend, a pale blue, but the furniture is in place and we have the bedding in the crib. I am having a girl that was referred by Katherine and Natalie make me some prints with mermaids, seahorse, seashells, octopus with bow, you know sea girlie things to add some flair to the walls. I plan to do shelves above the long changing dresser for the trinkets, etc like we have in McKinley's book case. SO far, we have not spent much since we bought bedding and rug at the pottery barn outlet at 60% off and the furniture we had! I did get all my fabrics for the bed skirt and curtains for Sherri to make me lots of cute things, and she is also doing a lamp shade, diaper basket, and bow holder, and of course you know I would have a monogram pillow too---of we can ever decide on a name! You know that delimma! My mom is dropping everything off today and she said I will get it back soon so we will be getting closer to being done before too long! I love getting things more organized and McKinley is still loving her big girl bed and calls Lucy's bed the baby crib. Here is a few items from the room!
