McKinley's new school!

This has been McKinley's first week at her new school and she is adjusting great! She loves how she gets a breakfast "snack" at 8:45 and all the kids eat around the table family style and drink milk from glasses. She has been enjoying the waffles, cinnamon toast, and fruit! She really likes the school pet goldfish that she talks about everyday after school and they hold a magnifying glass to them to study the fish's body and movements. That is in the science "Center" of the classroom. She also loves the house center where the doll babies, kitchen, and household items are. I don't think she has ventured into the art center and painted on the easel but maybe I am just not aware? They have places on the carpet in the music center where they sing songs and play games together. She still naps great with 2 hours or so and the teacher, Ms. Amanda, said she will be easy to potty train b/c she comes to them every time she needs a diaper change. She will soon be curious about the little potty room in the class that the other kids use. They have an elborate playground she has fun on and lately with the wind and weather, she has been going to the gym for gymnastics and ball. She has made friends with another little girl that she sticks with but I am not sure of her name (this is Jackson's story.) My dad and Jackson went on Wednesday to observe for a while and laughed at all the funny things the kids would do. McKinley also loves to wash her hands in the toddler sink and has a chore of putting chairs away after lunch time. SHe is getting so big now! I will post pics when I remember to take my camera by to get some of her day.
