lovely little ladybug-sent from heaven above-please watch over my garden-and fill it up with love.
Last night was a night to remember. Jackson planned our anniversary dinner this year, and I opened my card to find "tour Greenville." That is when you go to a different new restaurant all night for each course, all of it a surprise until I got there. I LOVE surprises! It started at Azia, a great new restaurant in Greenville with an asian flair. We had starters there--Tempura shrimp fancy tacos and suishi. We also had a wine paring with each course which was fun. Next, we headed downtown to Devereaux's for our main entrees. We wanted to eat there for 2 years now after we went to the chef's cooking class, but still had not been. We had carpaccio and duck there. This restaurant is one to try!!! We sat up front and watched the very attractive chef Stephen Greene prepare all the entries with pizazz. Our last stop was Brown Street Club for coffee and dessert and a little jazz. This restaurant has a jazz band to enjoy while you eat, very chicago style! We enjoyed red velvet cheesecake to top off the night. I think we were out for over 3 hours enjoying the dining in Greenville!

We had our first amuse bouche at Devereaux's. I was so excited to try it---tuna tartar with coconut creme fraiche. Can you tell I always wanted to be a food critic?

Below is a pic of our first taste of carpaccio. I knew what it was by watching "top chef" religiously. It is fine dining raw beef. We LOVED it! The quail egg is on top of the dish, with prouscitto on the bottom. Our mission for the night was to try new things!
