Ten on Tuesday!

I have to vent about my horrible beginning to the week! How could 1 day be so stressful! Be thinking about me today and pray that today is better for me than the last! This is how it all went down:

1. I woke up late, and rushed to get McKinley fed, dressed, and off to her first day at G's house for a month and a half before preschool. I packed Jackson's car full of snacks, lunch food, play clothes, booster seats, bibs, sippy cups, toys, bubbles, pool gear, etc. and hoped that I did not forget anything important.

2. Work was fine, same old same old. I ran on my lunch break to Michaels to get a scrapbook kit holder to take all my 20 pages, stickers, and photos that I am behind on to the beach with me next week. I forgot my 40% off coupon, spent $25 instead of the $12 I had anticipated on.

3. I went through the drive thru at Taco Bell for the low fat chicken tacos and after waiting 15 minutes and wasting lunch hour time, dropped my debit card in between the seat and the console, had to use my credit card for a $4 lunch. Still can not get to my debit card :-(

4. I left work at 5:05 to pick McKinley up at G's, she was cranky from a short nap, and ran to get Dinky at the groomers. Finally arrived at the vet at 6:01, they close at 6:00 so me and McKinley look into the window and ask to pick up our dog. They let us in. $70 later, Dinky has her annual shots and short summer hair cut--finally, not more shedding all over the house!

5. I rush to the gas station b/c my "0 miles to empty" had been showing for 20 minutes, and luckily got to Spinx before I ran out of gas. Because I lost my debit card, the price was $3.85/gallon instead of $3.77/gallon---Figures! $70 more dollars down the drain!

6. As I pull the gas handle out of the nozzle, the thing doesn't turn off and gas goes all over my feet and the car. Great, just what I need to go to Bible study smelling like gasoline. I go home and change, lotion my feet, and drop off the kid and dog. Marji, I know what you are thinking, I have done this before!

7. Before I leave, I realize that 3 of the girls that would be at the dinner had a bow order of all solid bows, so I got their bags of bows together to at least get rid of those orders--only 47 left to go-ha!

8-Heading out the door at 6:50 for a 7:00 dinner downtown, I remember that I volunteered to bring soda for the pizza and stop by Bloom on the way to get 5 big bottles of soda all by myself--very heavy! I don't think anyone drank soda at dinner! Oh well, it is the thought that counts.

9-Arrive at the party, it was fun catching up, and at 9:30 realize that McKinley was waiting on me at my parents because Jackson has a church softball game at 8:30. Get to my parents house, she is wide awake and playing at 9:45, I am so ready to go home and get in bed, and I am sure she is too. I really miss her since I saw her a total of 10 minutes in the entire day. Is staying connected and busy really worth this???

10. It is 11:00 and I decide to look at bills for bill pay since I had not in a while, and the power bill is due July 3rd, and bill pay says the date would be July 9th paying it then, so I had to write a check (old school I know) and actually drove to the power company this morning up the street and paid it in the drive thru. I didn't know we could do that!

Last and most stressful, at 11:45 I open the YW enrollment form for McKinley that says payment of first week's tuition and the deposit is due with the enrollment form NO LATER THAN JUNE 30. Wasn't that yesterday's date???? I freak out, and email the director this morning to let her know Jackson was bringing the letter and check by this morning at 11:00. Hopefully we will not be kicked out and have no child care next year.

That is it. Don't feel sorry for me. It was just one of those days in the life of a working mom with too much on her plate---but I love it that way :-)
