YWCA Women of Achievement

I am happy to report that my mom was recognized yesterday at an event for the YWCA Women of Achievement!  She was honored along with other community leaders in Greenville for being a women of influence, and a service leader that makes a difference in our community.  I am so proud, she was beaming and excited to be honored.  She looked great in her new suit (which I might have to borrow for spring.)  She was happy to be able to share the experience with me, my dad, her two best friends from college Pam and Lynn, and many coworkers.  It was a big event and many "important people" attended!  She was recognized for her advocacy in health care, with a focus on safety prevention for children.  What big shoes to fill, not sure if I will be able to follow in her footsteps, but I can try.
