Our Savannah trip was one to remember! We did lots of touring and eating and really enjoyed our weekend getaway. We could not wait to see McKinley when we returned, but loved the time we had together in such a great city! I think I must have taken 100 pictures of the many historical places we visited. We can't wait to go back! If you go, you must do a ghost tour, eat at Lady and Sons, take the trolley for touring, plan your nice dinners with reservations, get a hotel on the river or close by, party at City Market, and shop downtown.

On our ghost tour, we visit a haunted house built on a gravesight, haunted by a doctor that committed suicide due to his kids dying of yellow fever and his wife being buried alived in a coma. Many patients died here as well from yellow fever and the steps had a strong spirit feeling and voices of coughing in the window. Needless to say, the house is abandoned now.

This is a pic of the cemetary in the middle of the city. The bodies in the crypts were buried vertical to fit many people in. 10,000 bodies are buried in the ground here.

The trolley ride was a great idea because we learned so much about the history of the city.
